Caffe Parma Opening

Dear Member

The caffe is now up and running with a hugely successful opening and extremely busy already! A fantastic menu for breakfast, a special lunch menu plus the a la carte at any time.

Opening hours are as follows:
Monday - Thursday - 730am until 945pm
Friday - 730am until 1045pm
Saturday - 8am until 1045pm
Sunday - 8am until 945pm

Members Bar Area

Current bar prices will apply for another couple of weeks until Stefano takes over the running of the members area. At that point various draft beers will then be sold at discounted prices at all times.
Please remember that food can be ordered from the members bar area at any time if you prefer to dine in a more casual environment.

At some point early in the new year the plan is to renovate the members area but this will be done in consultation with the members so if you have any ideas why not come along to our club AGM on Thursday 12th November at 730pm. If you can't come but would like to offer your opinion please do so by email or speaking with Ian at the club.
Your input is valued as the members bar area is for you !

Caffe Parma Launches!

Caffe Parma Launches!

We're opening one day early for VIP guests and Western members.

Dear Member

The long wait for the West End’s hotly anticipated Caffè Parma is over. We're opening our doors for business on Saturday 24 October.

However, as a special guest or friend of Paperinos, we would like to invite you to pop in to Caffè Parma this Friday, the 23rd October.

We will be open between 2pm until late for guests to pop in for a glass of fizz and look at our stunning bespoke glass structure and outdoor decking area.

We are also taking bookings now on 0141 334 3811 for Saturday 24 October onwards. We will be open on 24 and 25 October from 12 noon until close and from Monday 26 October from 7.30am for breakfast onwards.

We look forward to seeing you.

If intending to come please RSVP to ian@glasgowwestern.co.uk with numbers and approx time as we can only take so many people at a time due to the size of the restaurant.

Squash Teams

Squash Players Needed

If you are interested in playing squash for the Western teams then do please get in touch.

In the West Open League we have 6 teams. Both male and female players are welcome in these teams although the vast majority are men (just so you know!). Our 6th team is used to expose new players to team sport and so each week two spots are earmarked for new players where possible. This team is in division 5 having won promotion last year.

The the ladies league we have two teams, one in division 1 and one in division 2.

In both situations new players are welcome.

If you are unsure of your standard then do pop down to our social night on a Sunday between 7pm and 9pm where you will meet other players and the club coach Martin Woods.

Regards all

Would all team captains pass on to their list of players just in case they are not on the email list.

Spinning Music

When playing tennis on court 1-3 and you feel that the music coming from the spinning class is too loud then just ask the instructor to close the door.I actually like having music but if it puts you off your game then please ask them to shut the door.( Door will be shut during colder weather so shouldn't be an issue very soon!)

Better to be flexible as some folk like it and others don't!
