Italian Deli in members bar!
Called "Art & Food"
Starting this coming Tuesday.

From Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm  we will have an Italian deli operating in our members bar area. Renato from Abruzzo will be offering a variety of products imported from Italy not currently in mainstream shops.
He will also arrange various evenings of "show cooking" which will involve a small number of people being shown how to cook traditional Italian dishes. (Dates & details to follow)
Renato also intends organising music nights, art exhibitions, sporting photo competitions, fashion shows, beauty products and even "Italian chat" days where you can improve your Italian and have a coffee at the same time!
You will also be able to buy coffees, drinks and snacks from Renato during daytimes when the members bar is generally quiet.
We feel that this will be a worthwhile experiment attempting to bring more life to this area and introducing a variety of new club events.
More details to follow but all going well this will continue up until Xmas at least!
Xmas Night in Caffe Parma

Please remember to pay your deposits direct with Caffe Parma for our annual dinner/awards night on Saturday 10th December. There are only 60 tickets available and half have been sold already so don't miss out!

Treatment room nearly finished

It looks great and should be up and running early November!

Tennis Club Champs Finals Day

Congratulations to all the winners and runners up on a fabulous day last Saturday when the sun split the skys and we enjoyed some wonderful tennis from our balcony!

Both the mens and ladies singles finals were of an extremely high quality with Hamish Stewart becoming the youngest ever male winner in club history at 17 years of age! (as far as I know )
The runner up was another 17 year old Euan Gibson Smith who then went on to win both the mens doubles with John Ratcliffe and the mixed with Aimee Black. Aimee defeated Kirsty Macdonald in the ladies final for her 3rd singles title!
The ladies doubles was won by Aimee and Jotie Purba while the ladies over 35 was won by Maggie Mclellan and the mens over 35 by Gordon McGuigan.

Thanks to everyone who took part and in particular to Currie & Quirk opticians who once again sponsored the event.

All photos will soon be up on our facebook
